If the public less interested in what's happening in the neighborhood? No, but they are not willing to pay for local gossip information, possibly because much of what the newspapers are conveniently offered through Internet news sources. Some say news of the Internet is killing print news. Internet news and newspapers, allowing audience members to skim headlines and read only the topics that are of interest.
